The Blaise Castle Estate is primarily looked after by the Friends of Blaise but other local organisations such as SusWoT have been helping restore the ponds in Blaise. The ponds are filled by Hazel Brook and a series of traps are supposed to catch silt before it gets into the ponds, but these had not been emptied for many years. In June 2024, work started to empty the silt traps. The next step is to remove silt from the ponds themselves.
